JalJevan Mission: DC Doda reviews project execution at distt level Committee meeting

Doda: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vikas Sharma Saturday chaired a meeting of District level Implementation Committee on JalJevan Mission to review the progress of execution of projects and the revised District Action Plan.
The meeting was attended by members of district level committee of JalJeevan Mission including SE Jal Shakti Department, Chief Planning Officer, Chief Medical Officer, DIO DIPR, DSWO Doda, Ex Ens of Jal Shakti department, and representatives of Mechanical Division Udhampur, Ground Water department and Education department.
The Committee was informed that all the revised 186 schemes under JJM have been tendered, while work on 7 projects has been taken up. “The dates of 160 tendered schemes have been extended due to poor response ,while the work of the remaining 26 schemes in which the required response has been received, will be allotted for execution soon” the meeting was told.
Regarding filtration plants, it was informed that all 390 schemes have been tendered and last dates have been extended because of poor response. For Bore Wells all the 06 schemes have been tendered. It was further informed that details of the pumps, stabilisers and other equipment have been communicated to the concerned for timely procurement.
The DC also reviewed the Action Taken in response to the public Grievances received from LG’s office. He directed the department to respond to the grievances timely and efficiently to ensure quality disposal and reply to the concerned quarters in the LG’s office.
While reviewing IEC activities, InchargeGrameenVikas Trust informed that all the PaniSimitis have been constituted in both the allotted clusters with 80 villages. Regular Gram Sabhas are being conducted, Data of 13000 souls have been collected and Regular awareness programmes are being conducted in both the clusters, the meeting was told.
The GrameenVikas Trust officials were asked to put on visible IEC activities including Hoardings, Gingles, banners and use of social media.
SE, Jal Shakti department informed the Committee that tenders for allotment of IEC to the NGOs/ Trusts for remaining three clusters have been floated and two of the clusters shall be allotted soon to the qualified bidders.
Directions were passed to check the overall water quality village wise preferably in Gram Sabhas through PanchayatPaniSimitis with the help of technical staff to ascertain and improve the quality of water being supplied to the people. He also directed the concerned to report on the progress under JJM and ongoing schemes on every Monday.
The Ground Water department was asked to propose the estimation of repair of existing water pumps to make them functional. Ex En JPDCL was instructed to report the status of creation of Sub stations for all the lift water supply schemes. Instructions were issued to get the District Water Testing Laboratory accredited at the earliest and take steps to decentralise other testing labs
