Rajouri: BGBSU, College of Nursing, Jammu organised International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking 2022 in Association with Drugs and Food Control Organization, Jammu.
Students of all batches of BSc Nursing of BGSBU Nursing College Jammu participated and spread awareness about the serious issues caused due to Drug Abuse across the world.
In his message, Prof Akbar Masood Vice Chancellor BGSBU conveyed that the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking is an expression of determination to strengthen action and cooperation to achieve the goal of an international society free of drug abuse. People are living their lives in isolation and avoid being social because stress in modern times has become very high as a result of which some people may get involved in the habit of drinking, smoking, drug addiction etc. Drug abuse should not be ignored and should be strictly prohibited the theme of this year is “SHARE DRUG FACTS TO SAVE LIVES “.
The programme was supervised by Dr Titi Xavier Associate Dean of Nursing Colleges and coordinated by Dr Pushpendra Kumar, Principal Nursing College Jammu. The Faculty, staff and students of BGSBU, College of Nursing Jammu participated in this rally including Ms Swati Jamwal (Instructor), Ms KhushbuNisar (Instructor), Ms FarhatRayaz (Instructor), Mrs Gurjyot (Nursing tutor) and event coordinator Mrs Shweta Bali (Nursing Tutor). Rally ended with a message that say ‘No to Drugs’ for everyone
