Women College Gandhinagar holds series of events to mark Int’l Yoga Day- 2022

Jammu: The NSS units of Government PG College for Women Gandhinagar commemorated the 8th International Yoga Day-2022 by organizing a series of events from June 19, 2022 to June 21, 2022 under the guidance of the College Principal Prof.Minu Mahajan and supervision of Prof. Mala Bhasin and Dr. Monika Hans.
A total of 98 volunteers participated in the various events. The celebration started with event-Poster making on June 19. Around 32 volunteers participated and showcased their creativity. Another event-Favourite Yoga Asana was organised on June 20, 2022 wherein 36 volunteers participated with great zeal. The three day Programme concluded on June 21, 2022 in the College hostel with a Live Yoga session on the theme Yoga for Humanity. Komal Gupta, Yoga Instructor taught different Yoga asanas to 48 NSS volunteers and 171 NCC cadets beneficial for Health, Harmony and Tranquility.
The motive of the three day Programme was to make students aware about the benefits of yoga and encourage them to make Yoga – an Integral part of their life.
Principal of the College, Prof.Minu Mahajan, applauded the volunteers for their participation and motivated them to be a part of such activities. She also appreciated the efforts of NSS PO’s for organising the Programme.
