Amarnath Yatra-2022, DC B’pora visits Yatra Transit Camp, Shadipora

B”pora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmed on Wednesday visited Yatra Transit Camp at ShadiporaSumbal to review the arrangements and other facilities for pilgrims of Amarnath Yatra 2022.
Dr.Owais on the occasion inspected the upgraded facilities for the convenience of the stay of yatries during the annual amaranth yatra-2022.
The DC was apprised by the officers of the concerned departments that work on majority of necessary facilities have been completed while works on only few facilities is going on to augment the stay capacity and other facilities for the Yatries.
The DC was informed that all necessary arrangements including facilities of drinking water and electricity etc at Yatra transit Camp have been put in advance besides deployment of sufficient staff at the camp.
Dr owais also inspected other completed works at the transit camp including langar facility, prefabricated huts etc and expressed satisfaction over the arrangements put in place.
He stressed upon the concerned to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, hygiene, and medical facilities at transit camp round the clock.
Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad, SDM Sumbal, Dr Bashir Ahmad Lone, TehsildarSumbal, Executive Engineers, SDPO Sumbal and other senior officers were present on the occasion.
The road was blocked due to fresh snowfall land slide. Tehsildars and SHOs of both the sides were closely monitoring the operation under supervision of SDPO Kokernag.
