On annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Soleh (RA) Hakeem seeks exemplary punishment to hatemongers

Says "Communal harmony, coexistence essential for peaceful sustenance"

Khansahib (B’gam) |June 21: Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&K PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Mohammad Yaseen has felicitated people especially muslim brethren on the occasion of annual Urs of Hazrat Syed Soleh (RA) Khansahib . Despite heavy downpour , he , along with hundreds of devotees participated in the main religious congregation and paid obesience at the mausoleum of the great sufi saint . He prayed for peace and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir and well being of the overall humanity.
On this occasion , Chairman J&K PDF , who is also Chairman of the Syed Soleh trust , enjoined upon the people especially followers of Hazrat Syed Soleh ( RA) to imbibe moral and religious values in them to build a sound society free from social evils and hatred . He urged people to follow the foot prints of prophet Mohammad (SAW ) who has taught us coexistence ,love and compassion . Addressing the devotees on this occasion Hakeem lashed out on the fringe elements who were hell-bent upon to foment toxin of hate among the communities for petty political considerations notwithstanding the fact that their myopic attitude towards minorities was against the overall interests of the country . He said that it was due to the hate politics of the fringe elements that the secular and democratic credentials of the country have been dented all over the world especially in the gulf countries. Hakeem also sought exemplary punishment for the guilty involved in disrespecting our beloved Prophet ( PBUH ) . He also urged the people to preserve the ages old traditions of communal harmony and brotherhood, which was the hallmark of country’s glorious ethos and culture . He said India is considered one of the greatest secular and democratic countries of the world adding that religious coexistence, harmony and brotherhood was necessary for its peaceful sustenance. ” Unity in diversity ” was corner stone for peace and prosperity of the country”, Hakeem said while demanding stern action against hate mongers and perpetrators of violence and religious hatred .
