Kishtwar: Kishtwar Development Authority, in collaboration with District Administration, Monday organised a Mehfil-e-Qawali on the occasion of URS Shah Fareed-ud-Din sahib (RA), here at KV School.
Renowned singers from the Chenab valley soothed the souls of the audience by presenting Sufi kalam.
The energetic performance by Qawwals and their calm take off with compositions based in classical music came as a kind of treat for the music aficionados present in large numbers and bursting with wah, wahs.
The event emerged as a befitting tribute to the composite cultural legacy of the district as well as J&K.
Deputy Commissioner Ashok Kumar Sharma presided over the event.
