GCW Udhampur observes Int’l Yoga Day

Udhampur: To celebrate International Yoga Day 2022, NCC cadets of 1 J&K Girls Battalion NCC Srinagar of GCW Udhampur participated and performed yoga with full enthusiasm in the College premises, here Monday.
The motive of the event was to highlight the importance of Yoga for attaining a healthy and stress free life and motivate the students to adopt the practice to stay fit. The theme of the day was ‘once a cadet always a cadet’.
Around 80 cadets and a few ex-cadets also participated and demonstrated various Asanas like Tad Asana, Chakra Asana, Bhujangasana, Surya Namaskar etc.
Principal of the College, Dr. Monika Sharma said that Yoga brings balance between body and soul. “Yoga helps us to understand how to survive in the changing environment,” she said.
Prof.ShalluJasrotia, ANO, appreciated the cadets for turning up in huge numbers to participate in the event.
