Srinagar, June 20: Three militants were on Monday killed in two separate encounters with government forces and the number of militants killed in the past 24 hours as such rose to seven, police said here.
Kashmir Zone Police on it’s twitter handle said that 2 more militants including a militant Showkat Ahmad Sheikh were on Monday killed in Kupwara encounter and as such the total no of militants killed in Kupwara encounter rose to four, stating therein further that Incriminating materials and arms & ammunition were recovered from their possession and searches are still going on. .Two militants were on Sunday killed in the encounter.
Meanwhile one militant was on Monday also killed in an encounter in Chatporra area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district as Kashmir Zone Police in it’s one more tweet said that one militant was on Monday also killed in Chatporra area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district where according to an earlier tweet of Kashmir Zone Police an encounter broke out Monday morning. In case of both the encounters Kashmir Zone Police in its tweets has said that further details are awaited.
