DDC Rajouri reviews performance of RDD

15846 PMAY (G) houses constructed in distt, 2000 more expected to complete by this month end

Rajouri: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers and took a comprehensive review of the performance and working of the Rural Development Department.
Officers who attended the meeting included ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACD, Vijay Kumar; CPO, Mohammad Khurshid; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; ExEn REW, Bashir Ahmed and BDOs.
The DDC sought a detailed report from the concerned officers about the progress achieved under different schemes and programs being implemented by the RDD including PMAY-G, Mandays generation, construction of Bunkers, 14th FC, Capex Budget etc.
The meeting was informed that the work on 1528 bunkers out of 1867 was complete and the DDC asked the BDOs to expedite the progress and ensure completion of all works at the earliest.
While reviewing the progress of tendering of works under District Capex Budget, it was informed that out of 3786 works, the tenders for as many as 632 works have been floated. The DDC inquired about the reasons for the low Person Days generation and asked the concerned to take effective measures to mitigate the shortfall.
About PMAY-G, it was informed that against the target of constructing 30691 houses, the work on 15846 is complete in all respects. He also asked the concerned officers to construct 2000 new houses under the scheme by the end of June 2022.
It was further informed that under the Back to Village-3, as many as 929 works were identified while the work on 436 was complete in all respects.
