Comr Secy Revenue visits Rajouri, reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt

Rajouri: Commissioner Secretary, Revenue Department, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri Friday visited Rajouri district and chaired a meeting to review the functioning of Revenue Department here.
During the meeting a detailed discussion was held on status of writing of Jamabandis, change in land use, retrieval of state and Kachari land, functioning of PatwarKhanas, progress made under delineation besides issues related to developmental works were also deliberated upon.
Addressing the officers in the meeting, the Commissioner Secretary underlined the priorities of the Government like digitisation of Jamabandies, online delivery of various revenue services and other public friendly initiatives recently started by the Government to bring transparency and accountability in the department.
Bidhuri also directed the revenue officers to educate the public about the online portal through which certain revenue records can be viewed and downloaded without any inconvenience. He also stressed on digitization of land records at the earliest.
The Commissioner Secretary also exhorted upon the officers to work with zeal and dedication to provide best services to the public and contribute in lessening the hardships of common masses.
While taking stock of the online revenue services being provided to the general public, the Commissioner Secretary was informed that a number of revenue services are being provided to the general public through online mode.
The Commissioner Secretary asked the concerned officers to ensure that online services are provided to the public timely so that they don’t face any problems.
While seeking the status of writing of Jamabandis, the meeting was informed that the Jamabandis for 384 villages out of 386 villages has been written.
The meeting was also informed that 04 files have been approved and 11 files are under process. The Commissioner Secretary stressed on ensuring the speedy disposal of all the files regarding the change in land use.
While reviewing the status of Govt land retrieved so far, it was informed that 222774 Kanals and 13 Marlas of state land have been retrieved as of May 2022.
Similarly, the Commissioner Secretary was also briefed about the status of Kachari land retrieved. He asked the officers to speed up the illegal encroachment removal drive and advised them to erect documentary evidence on the government land to avoid illegal encroachment.
Regarding the functioning of PatwarKhanas, meeting was informed that all 80 PatwarKhanas have been made functional in the district and revenue services are being provided to the general public at the doorsteps.
Discussing the progress made under delineation, it was informed that total villages intended to be surveyed are 274 and total area intended to be surveyed is 78602 kanals and 14 Marlas. It was further informed that 36 villages have been surveyed so far and total area surveyed is 20325 kanals and 01 Marlas.
Moreover, issues impeding the developmental projects like Government Degree Colleges were also discussed in detail wherein the Commissioner Secretary passed necessary instructions to the concerned officers to take effective measures to resolve the developmental bottlenecks so that the execution of work on the projects shall not be delayed.
DC Rajouri, VikasKundal; ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ADC Rajouri, Sachin Dev Singh; ADC Kalakote, KrishanLal; ADC Nowshera, Sukhdev Singh Samyal; ADC Koteranka, Surinder Mohan Sharma; ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; AC Defence, Saleem Qureshi; Tehsildars and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
