TOYOTA to turn ITI RS Pura into Center of Excellence in Automobile Sector

Jammu: Director Skill Development J&K, Sudershan Kumar Thursday signed a Memorandum of Association (MOA) with Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Ltd (TKM) in respect of Government ITI R.S Pura for Automobile Sector.
The dignitaries from TKM, Toyota Principal Dealer, Batra Brothers Pvt Ltd and the officers of Skill Development Department were also present on the occasion.
TKM was represented by General Manager (Services) SabariManohar, General Manager (Sales), V WiselineSigamani, DevendarBatra (Dealer Principal), VinodLalwani Deputy General Manager and Shashank Tiwari (Training officer).
In addition to Director Skill Development, Joint Director Jammu, Farooq Ahmed Khan, Deputy Director SPIU, Rajendra Kumar, Superintendent Government ITI R.S Pura, Er. Rajesh Gupta and Superintendent ITI, VivekSagar Sharma were also present.
As per MoA Toyota Kirloskar Motor Private Ltd (TKM) has adopted the Automobile Sector of Govt. ITI R.S Pura and have agreed to donate the Machinery/ Equipment (trainer models), tools and audio visuals and training material and develop a state of the art Automobile workshop at the Govt. ITI R.S Pura.
Moreover, the faculty of Automobile Sector will be trained on the latest Automotive Technology manufactured by the company at the TKM training centers. The Trainees will also be benefitted by providing them On the Job (OJT) training in the dealership network of TKM. In addition a training module of 200 hours will be incorporated in the existing curriculum as per the needs of the TKM so as to upgrade the skills of trainees in consonance with the market needs to make them employable.
