Rajouri: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Thursday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and finalize the Aspirational Block Development Program plan for Khawas and Koteranka blocks.
Among others, the meeting was attended by ADDC, Pawan Kumar; ACP, Abdul Rashid Kohli; CMO, Dr Abdul Hamid Zargar; CAO, Sohan Singh; ExEn REW, Bashir Ahmed; AD Planning, Mohd Rafi and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
Augmentation of health infrastructure, separate toilet blocks for girls, modern patwarkhana, vending machines in schools, smart class rooms, road connectivity and creation of several other facilities have been incorporated in the plan formulated for the twin blocks.
Speaking at the meeting, the DDC said that the Aspirational Block Development Programme (ABDP) aims to ensure expeditious improvement in the socio-economic status of 44 most backward Blocks of J&K.
He said that the blocks identified under the ABDP are the most backward blocks of Jammu and Kashmir which require special focus to bring them at par with other blocks. He said that the program was expected to usher in a new era of development in these blocks.
The DDC directed the concerned officers to look into achieving 100 percent saturation of individual beneficiary schemes besides covering the scope of other welfare schemes of different departments in the identified blocks.
