Rajouri: On the directions of Transport Commissioner J&K and RTO Jammu, a team of the Motor Vehicle Department Thursday seized 12 vehicles found plying without HSRP in Rajouri.
The ARTO Rajouri, Shami Kumar, besides seizing the vehicles, also warned the commuters to follow the golden rules of traffic and drive at safe speed.
He further asked them to fit the HSRP on their vehicles and get pollution under control certificates and other documents before plying vehicles on the road.
The team also educated the people about their duties towards observing traffic norms and road safety rules while travelling. They also asked the vehicle operators to abide by the traffic rules and avoid overloading and rash driving.
The ARTO also made it clear that such Nakas would be held regularly and strict action as per the norms of the Motor vehicle act shall be taken against the violators.
