Rajouri: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, VikasKundal Wednesday visited the filtration plant at Dhanidhar and took stock of the functioning of the plant there.
During his visit to the filtration plant, the DDC took stock of the functioning of the plant wherein he was apprised that the total capacity of the plant is ten thousand gallons per day and it has been feeding filtered water to thousands of souls in Rajouri town.
The DDC also conducted spot inspection of Ujhan Canal which is the main water supply source for the Rajouri Township and ordered proper upkeep of Ujhan Canal.
The DDC issued strict instructions for regular patrolling of the canal and directed the concerned officer to ensure that proper supply to the filtration plant is maintained.
He also emphasized for maintaining proper schedule while supplying water to the general public so that they don’t face any inconvenience.
DDC also directed the concerned officers to make dedicated efforts to ensure that clean and hasslefree drinking water supply is provided to the common masses.
He also asked for taking effective measures to redress their issues concerning drinking water in a time bound manner to mitigate their sufferings.
