Iconic Yoga sessions held at Polytechnic Ramban, NRLM Gool

Ramban: Continuing Iconic Yoga Week celebrations, Directorate of AYUSH in collaboration with District administration Ramban organised various activities across the district as a precursor of International Yoga Day to be celebrated on June 21.
In this regard, a yoga session was held at Polytechnic College, Ramban wherein the students and staff members of the host institution practiced different postures of yoga.
On the occasion, the Principal of College, ErSuket Gupta, Faculty Members, District Yoga Nodal Officer, Dr Masood Iqbal Zargar and other senior officers participated in yoga sessions.
Stressing on the need of adopting yoga to keep body and mind fit, Dr Masood said that yoga has revolutionised health management across the world and added that the almost all countries acknowledge the significance of International Yoga Day.
The Principal said that yoga is universally regarded as one of the best remedies for all kinds of diseases and disorders. If practiced regularly, it eradicates mental stress and keeps the body, mind and intellect fit, he added.
Meanwhile, Nation Rural Livelihood Mission, Ramban also started the celebration of Yoga week from Tuesday at 20 Clusters in Gool and other places. It was informed that during the week-long programs more than 40 yoga sessions would be held.
