DC B’pora tours Kaloosa, adjoining areas, inspects progress of KaloosaGurdal PMGSY Road

B’pora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmed on Tuesday conducted tour of Kaloosa and adjoining areas and inspected the construction of Pradhan Mantri Gram SadakYojana (PMGSY) road from Kaloosa to Gurdal.
Enroute, the DC also interacted with the general public and PRIs to take feedback regarding various services.
He also discussed, land issues for road construction and clearance of road side encroachments with general public
On the occasion, people assured cooperation for widening and upgradation of roads.
Dr.Owais directed for removing encroachments on the road sides for proper widening as per approved project.
The DC directed TehsildarBandipora and Ex. Engineer PMGSY to conduct a fresh joint survey for demarcation of under construction road. He also urged for resolving all issues amicably amongst all parties and stressed on reaching solutions that benefit the community.
Ex. Engineer PMGSY apprised the DC that KaloosaGurdal PMGSY road covers 07 kms for which 7.49 crores are alloted. He said this year the project will be completed along with black topping.
DC said no compromise will be there for implementing road projects and stressed upon ensuring quality work.
He said that widening and all other work will be carried out as per approved plan.
On the way the DC also took on spot inspection of various facilities including water supply, electricity and other essentials.
The DC was accompanied by Ex. Engineer PMGSY Bilal Ahmad, TehsildarBandipora Sheikh Tariq and other concerned officers from Revenue and PMGSY.
