G’bal: Police on Tuesday said that it has recovered abducted minor girl within hours in Ganderbal and also arrested an accused person involved in the commission of crime.
In a statement issued on Tuesday police said that Police Post Nagbal on 13th June received a written complaint from one person resident of Shuhama Nagbal regarding abduction of her minor granddaughter, stating therein further that In this connection, a case vide FIR No. 162/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Ganderbal and investigation was set into motion.
Stating further that during the course of investigation, a special Police team led by DO Nagbal was constituted which acted swiftly and raided various suspected places for recovery of the abducted girl, police in it’s statement said that after strenuous efforts, the Police team recovered the abducted minor girl in Srinagar at Nehru Park within hours and also arrested the accused kidnapper, stating therein further that the arrested kidnapper has been identified as AquibAhamd Lone son of Gh Mohd Lone resident of Bumai Sopore.
Police in it’s statement further said that after completion of all legal formalities, the girl was handed over to her legal heirs and furtherr investigation into the matter is going on.
