DDC Poonch reviews progress of works under DisttCapex Budget 2022-23

Poonch: The Deputy Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Monday chaired a meeting of the district/sectoral officers to review the status of ongoing works under capex budget 2022-23 which includes DDC, BDC, PRI grants and works of other allied sectors health and education, here at a meeting in conference hall of DC office.
He reviewed works of RDD, Jal Shakti, and R&B, Health, School Education, Irrigation and Power Development in detail, drinking water, health infrastructure, school infrastructure and JPDCL etc.
A detailed department wise review was conducted of all ongoing works under district Capex budget.
The Deputy Commissioner asked the concerned officers that all the remaining works should be tendered at an earliest and work on allotted should be started with in specific time as envisaged under rules.
Briefing the chair, ADDC informed that there are total 1417 works under district Capex budget, out of which 255 are ongoing works and 1162 are new works.
The Deputy Commissioner directed all Executive agencies to complete all the tendering process within stipulated time frame.
He directed the executing agencies/ departments to provide the list of defaulted contractors without further fail.
The Deputy Commissioner issued a slew of directions regarding fast track execution of all ongoing and new works. The Deputy Commissioner asked for the list of contractors whose works are languishing for considerable time, so that necessary action can be taken against them.
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner, Abdul Sattar, Assistant Commissioner Development, AbidHussain Shah, Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Shafiq Mir, CEO Education, Abdul Majid, DPEO, Narinder Mohan Suri, Xen PDD, IrshadHussain, Xen, PWD(R&B), Harvinder Singh, Xen, PHE, Rajesh Sethi, EO Municipality, Mushtaq Ahmed, DYSSO, Mohd Qasim besides all BDOs and concerned officers were present.
