Rajouri: District Development Commissioner, VikasKundal Saturday chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss and to finalise the District Action Plan under JalJeevan Mission.
During deliberations on implementation and execution of the DAP, the SE Hydraulics apprised the meeting about the vision, objectives and components of the JalJeevan Mission including the target of hundred percent tap water coverage of the households of the district.
While giving details of the district action plan, he informed that 293 Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) have been proposed at an estimated cost of Rs 1942.80 crores. He said that the plan envisages to meet the drinking water needs of households, schools, anganwadi centres, PHCs and other establishments, besides animal consumption.
The meeting after thorough discussion finalised Rs 1942.80 crores plan for the execution of works under JalJeevan Mission.
DDC directed the concerned officers to ensure time bound completion of the projects.
