Hakeem denounces blasphemous remarks against beloved Prophet (PBUH)

Srinagar: Saying that blasphemous remarks against beloved Prophet Muhammad ( PBUH) in any form of its manifestations was unacceptable to muslim ummah , Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&K PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen on Friday urged the Prime Minister Narindera Modi to act tough against fringe elements to protect the secular image of the country that was considered as one of the biggest democracies all over the world .He said the religious freedom of every citizen of the country was guaranteed by the Constitution of India in clause (1) of article 25.
In a statement issued on Friday Hakeem while denouncing blasphemous remarks uttered by some ex. office bearers of the ruling political party at the Centre said that insulting religious sentiments of other communities would only damage the rich traditions of the countries communal harmony and would further deepen the communal divide ,if not curbed at the earliest . He said holly Quran teaches ” Lakum Deena kum Walia Din” respect each other’s religion and let every body practice his religion freely and fearlessly adding that ‘we should respect religious emotions of our all fellow countrymen’. ” Moreover ,this is beyond imagination that muslims can bear anything against beloved Prophet Mohammad (PBHH) ,” Hakeem Yaseen maintained .
PDF Chairman said it was most unfortunate that the toxin of hate was spreading its ugly tentacles in various parts of the country at a dangerous pace , which has severally dented its secular image in the world more recently in the Arab world .He has sought stern action against the fringe elements indulged in injecting toxin of hate among the communities and our body politics, in pursuit of the petty political goal . ” This filthy trend has envenomed our society, making life of minorities most scared and unsafe , Hakeem added.He has urged the authorities at the helm of affairs to rise to the occasion to curb activities of hatemongers with heavy hand . Cautioning against repercussions of sowing the seeds of hate among the communities , Hakeem sought an immediate end to all the activities of bigotry . Hakeem appealed to the people to exercise utmost restrain and calm in the wake of recent provocations at the hands of some narrow minded and jaundiced persons adding that patience was the be
