Kishtwar: As part of the 3 Day Sufi Festival being held across Jammu and Kashmir, the J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), in collaboration with Tourism department and District Administration Kishtwar, on Thursday organised a NaatKhawani and ManqabatKhawaniMehfil here at ZiyaratSharief of Hazrat Shah Farid- Ud -Din Baghdadi (RA) and a SufianaMushaira at K V School.
At the outset, Additional Secretary (Central) J&K Academy of Art, Culture and languages SanjeevRana, in his welcome address, said that the three Day Sufi festival was being organised across J&K in coordination with Department of Tourism and District administration with the aim to revive the rich heritage and glory of Sufism of J&K and to familiarise the people about the teachings of Sufism.
The NaatKhwani and ManqabatKhawaniMehfil was presided over by Imam MarkaziJamia Masjid Kishtwar Farooq Ahmed Kichloo.
Besides, Administrator AuquafKishtwarZakirHussain Wani, Principal Government Degree College KishtwarAnirudh Sharma, Cultural Officer JKAACL Slahud Din Tahir and a huge gathering of locals and students were also present at the program.
The soulful NaatyaKalam by the renowned NaatKhawans left everyone spellbound and filled the atmosphere with spiritual ambiance.
Similarly, in another programme a SufianaMushaira was organised at K V School in which 11 poets from different areas of Chenab Valley participated and presented their poetry in presence of a huge audience.
The Mushaira was presided over by Senior Poet Mohammad Amin Doolwal, while President Municipal Council Kishtwar, Sajad Ahmed Najar was the Chief Guest on this occasion.
Additional Deputy Commissioner, KishoriLal Sharma, Chief Executive Officer KDA, InderjeetParihar, Principal Government Degree College KishtwarAnirudh Sharma were also present in the programme.
