Dr Samoon inaugurates developmental, up-gradation Park, basketball court at ITIs in Jammu

Samoon also Interacts with trainees, distribute certificates among trainees

Jammu: Principal Secretary, Skill Development Department (SDD), Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon Wednesday inaugurated Development and up-gradation of park at Government Industrial Training Institute Campus, Jammu.
Director, SDD, Sudershan Kumar was also present on the occasion.
During his visit, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon also chaired a Certificate Distribution Ceremony held for deputed staff of Jal Shakti Department (PHE) in Electrician and Plumber courses and also distributed certificates among the trainees who have completed their skill training courses.
Dr Samoon also interacted with the faculty members and trainees of self-help groups viz sewing technology, dress making and phulkari and enquired about the training modules.
The Principal Secretary appreciated the efforts of staff of ITI Jammu for organizing such a graceful event to provide the training to the trainees in order to enhance their skills so that they would succeed in their field and future activities. He also asked the authorities of Institution to contribute more and more in view of provide better training to the trainees.
Director SDD, Sudershan Kumar briefed about the different aspects of training program within the campus. He also briefed about the achievements of made by Government ITI Jammu.
Later, the Principal Secretary also visited Government Women ITI Jammu and inaugurated a Basketball Court for women basketball players of the institution. On the occasion, a match was also played between Team Aadarshini and Team Bhilagana in which Team Bhilagana was declared won. Dr Samoon also gave away the certificates among the players.
During the visit, the Principal Secretary also interacted with the students/trainees of different courses and enquired about the trainings being provided to them in the institution.
Among others, Principal, Government ITI Jammu, Rajendra Kumar Gupta; Vice Principal, ITI Jammu and senior officers of concerned department were present.
