DC B’pora reviews progress of PMGSY in distt

DPRs for connecting all habitations of more than 500 population completed

B’pora|: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmed today chaired a meeting to review the status of projects being executed by PMGSY in different parts of the district.
Dr.Owais sought physical and financial status of all works under PMGSY in the district, particularly in Gurez area.
The meeting discussed threadbare various issues and projects of PMGSY including the installation of Hot Mix plant in Gurez.
It was informed that PMGSY has completed 17 major road projects during last two years in the district and 08 major road project are presently under execution.
It was given out that under Capex 2021-22 PMGSY has completed various road networks including Aloosa-Quilmuqam road at an estimated cost of 78.44 lacs, Hajin -Khuserpora Road at an estimated cost of 46.21 lacs, Gundipreng -Bakshibal road at an estimated cost of 64.36 lacs and AhmshareefBhutoo road at an estimated cost of 89.27 lacs.
It was also given out that DPRs for connecting all habitations of more than 500 population have been completed.
The DC directed the concerned to complete the macdamization work in Gurez as early as possible keeping in view the short working season of Gurez.
The meeting also discussed various bottlenecks in the Kaloosa-Gurdal project, malangamGujarpati and Khnusa-Tangwani road projects.
The DC directed concerned Tehsildars and PMGY to jointly visit the areas and resolve the issues within weeks’ time.
He directed the concerned to resolve all issues early and ensure completion of all road network projects within stipulated time.
While applauding the Work of PMGSY in previous projects, the DC asked the Ex. Engineer PMGSY to regularly monitor all road network projects for maintaining quality and standard of works.
The meeting was attended by SE PMGSY circle Baramulla, Joint Director Planning, Executive Engineer PMGSY Bandipora and other concerned officers.
