Shafaaf Bandipora, DC flags-off Cleanliness Rally

B’pora|: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmed Monday flagged-off an awareness rally from Mini Secretariat Bandipora here under “ShafafBandipora” campaign.
The rally started at Mini Secretariat Bandipora and culminated at Main MarketBandipora. Students, Municipal Council officials besides officers and officials from District Administration participated in the rally.
ADC BandiporaWaseem Raja, Dy. District Election Officer Bandipora Syed AltafHussainMosavi, Chief Education Officer Bandipora, Executive Officer MC Bandipora besides other senior officers of district were present on the occasion.
Dr.Owais said, keeping in view the tourist importance of Bandipora district, a week-long “ShafaafBandipora” campaign has been launched by District Administration with dual purpose of sensitizing the people regarding cleanliness and to conduct cleanliness drives in schools besides involving public at panchayat level for cleanliness of roads and tourist spots.
He urged the participants to propagate the message of cleanliness to aware others too to protect Environment.
The DC appreciated the role of MC Bandipora for maintaining cleanliness in town.
On the occasion, awareness regarding activities carried out under Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) was also provided to participants.
