Dulloo chairs meeting to discuss implementation of horticulture schemes in J&K under NHB

Srinagar: Additional Chief Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, AtalDulloo Monday chaired a meeting to discuss the implementation of various Horticulture Schemes in J&K vis-a-vis the incentives available under National Horticulture Board (NHB).
The meeting was attended by Secretary in Horticulture Department, Special Secretary, Horticulture Department, Director, Agriculture Kashmir, Director, Horticulture Kashmir, Director, Horticulture (P&M), J&K, MD, JKHPMC and Deputy Director, National Horticulture Board(NHB), J&K. Director, Agriculture Jammu and Director Horticulture Jammu attended the meeting through video conferencing from Jammu.
While chairing the meeting, AtalDulloo directed for constitution of a task force to oversee the implementation of various horticulture projects under NHB. He directed the officers to generate awareness among the farmers and the entrepreneurs so that they can derive benefit from the schemes available under NHB for promotion of horticulture in J&K.
He further directed the officers to work in a coordinated manner so as that farming community gets maximum benefits out of the schemes and interventions.
Deputy Director NHB made a presentation capturing the major incentives available under NHB Schemes that could be available for the promotion of horticulture sector in J&K.
He gave a brief of schemes administered by NHB which include Development of Commercial Horticulture through Production and Post-Harvest Management of Horticulture Crops, Capital Investment Subsidy scheme for construction/ Expansion/ Modernization of Cold Storage/Storages for Horticulture Products, Technology Development and Transfer for Promotion of Horticulture, Market Information Scheme for Horticulture crops, Horticulture Promotion Service/expert services and Strengthening Capabilities of NHB, Cluster Development Programme & PE Facilities.
