DC Udhampur finalises arrangements for annual Amarnath Yatra- 2022

Udhampur: To finalise the arrangements for forthcoming Amarnath yatra 2022, Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur Krittika Jyotsna on Monday convened a meeting of officers of different departments here at Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
Detailed deliberation were held on various arrangements which includes establishment of lodgement centres, setting up of langers, Medical facilities, Drinking water facilities, power supply, Installation of temporary toilets, sanitation, traffic management,Security arrangements, Setting up of control room, checking of rates, Installation of departmental stalls, organising cultural programmes, Deployment of magistrates, Coordination Committees, Emergency response, Installation of signage boards etc.
The DC said that the meeting has been convened to finalize the arrangements for smooth and hassle-free yatra, 2022.
The DC emphasized upon all the participants to work with full zeal and zest and provide their full cooperation for the smooth conduct of the yatra. The Nodal officers of lodgement centres were asked to visit their respective venues and furnish a detailed report on availability of electricity /water/ clean space/toilet facility as perdevised format.
It was apprised that 25 applications have been received for setting up of langers during the holy Yatra.
Each Zonal Officer/Nodal Officer/Yatra Officer was directed to remain available in their respective areas and lodgement centres and get it ready in every respect well before commencement of Yatra. It was emphasized that morning time from 04:00 hrs to 08:00 hrs shall be crucial for District Udhampur.
The CMO was directed to make available necessary medical facilities along NH-44 from Tikri to Chenani and prepare a health plan and make arrangements with a roster displaying the names of the doctors and other support staff.
The Jal Shakti department was directed to nominate a nodal officer for arranging water tankers and circulatehis contact numberto ensure adequate water supply to all the transit locations. The Xen PDD was asked to ensure all necessary arrangements for providing electricity supply to the lodgement centres/langers.
ACP and CEO MC were advised to manage and install the pre-fabricated toilets at suitable locations, while the SSP traffic was asked to ensure adequate deployment of police personnel at the main chowks and at congestion points for the smooth passage of yatra.
The SSP was asked to make adequate security arrangements by deploying police personnel, including lady police at vulnerable locations, lodgement centres, transit camps and langer sites.
Tourism department was directed to install signboards at the entry point in Kali Mata temple phallata, GoleMelaChowk, Jakhani and Chenani besides CHO, CAO, District Coordinator NRLM were asked to ensure installation of departmental stallsat identified locations.
