Jammu|: District Employment and Counselling Centre Jammu organised a one-day Awareness Camp on Self Employment Schemes cum Job fair at Government Industrial Training Institute, Akhnoor Road, Jammu here Saturday.
The function was jointly inaugurated by Deputy Director Employment Jammu, Dr Manisha Koul and Principal ITI, Rajinder Gupta.
On the occasion, the Deputy Director raised the concerns of unemployed youth and urged the participating companies to engage maximum youth to give boost to their careers.
The participating companies include Umaaha Solutions Private Ltd, RVS IT Ltd, Life Insurance Corporation of India, Indus Tower Ltd, City Livelihood Centre, Jamkash, Dominos and Badi Brahmana Industrial Association.
Various government departments viz. District Industries Centre, Handicraft Department, SC,ST, OBC Corporation, National Career Service Centre for SC/ST , KVIB, Himayat, Mission Youth also participated in the Fair and gave guidance regarding various self employment schemes of the government.
