Ramban DC, SSP inspect arrangements, facilities along National Highway

Ramban| : Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Musssarat Islam along with Senior Superintendent of Police, Mohita Sharma Friday inspected lodgment centres, holding areas and other facilities being put in place by different departments for the Amarnath Yatra, 2022.
The Deputy Commissioner also inspected the functioning of Health Centre Nogam and directed the BMO Banihal to ensure maintenance of the building besides providing healthcare facilities to patients.
SDM Banihal, Zaheer Abbas, SDPO and other concerned officers were also present during the visit.
Earlier, the DC visited the Lamber area in Banihal being developed for setting up of Yatra Camps and Langar facilities. He instructed the executing agency and other stakeholders to ensure completion of works by implementing all plans and directions issued from time to time for the smooth conduct of holy yatra. He also inspected lodgment centres from Ramban to Banihal for established for the Yatries.
The DC and SSP also reviewed the security and other related arrangements besides visiting various locations and accommodations identified for the stay of security forces.
The DC also inspected the Highway Nest Mini and toilet facilities created by the National Highway Authority of India and other agencies along the NH-44 from Nashri to Banihal. He directed the NHAI and other departments to ensure smooth functioning of these facilities.
Later, the DC also inspected National highway four laning construction works and directed the NHAI to complete all identified works like repair of steel tunnel at Panthyal to provide safe passage to the commuters.
He directed representatives of NHAI and construction companies to maintain the Highway and station adequate machinery at all vulnerable places to clear the blockades without any delay.
