DC Bla convenes Rev Officers meet, takes stock of Revenue matters

DM asks officers to play proactive role to address public issues, streamline PSD System

Baramulla| : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Dr Syed Sehrish Asgar Friday chaired a meeting of concerned revenue officers at the meeting Hall here to take stock of various revenue matters besides taking a brief appraisal of related aspects.
On the occasion, the DC asked the officers to play a proactive role in the field in resolving public grievances. She directed them to remain punctual in their offices and duty places to serve the public and make the public service delivery system more vibrant.
During the meeting, DC impressed upon the Revenue Officers to work with dedication and zeal for delivering public services in a smooth and transparent manner. She stressed upon the concerned authorities to ensure the completion of Jamabandi, land record digitization and directed to remove all type of encroachments from State / Kahcharai lands.
The DC stressed the need for updation of jamabandi and asked officers to submit updated statement. She asked field functionaries including Naib Tehsildars and Patwaries to conduct regular inspection in their respective jurisdictions.
The DC also directed Revenue Officers to be serious in land conversion and adopt uniform standard and parameters so that any person could not misuse the agricultural land in relaxation to land conversion law. The DC further directed to regularly dispose off court cases and subsequently upload on the requisite online database.
The meeting also discussed the four lanning of National Highway from Narbal to Baramulla and double lanning from Baramulla to Uri wherein the DC emphasized to complete all the necessities well within the stipulated time.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina; Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Parveez Sajad; Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Peerzada Mumtaz; Sub Divisional Magistrate Pattan, Syed Faheem; Sub Divisional Magistrate Gulmarg, Sameer Jan; Tehsildars besides other concerned officers were present in the meeting.
