Rajouri: On the directions of District Development Commissioner, RajouriVikasKundal, the Sub Divisional Magistrate Thanamandi, Dr.VikasDharBagati, along with TehsildarThanamandi, Syed Sahil Ali, conducted a demolition drive to remove the structures acquired for construction of RajouriThanamandi Road.
“Advanced notices were served to the owners of structures to vacate the buildings and the drive was conducted as per the schedule,” said SDM Thanamandi
The public of the area was made aware about the drive-through Public Announcement System as well. So far 93 shops and 08 residential houses have been demolished in Village Nerojal and Saj of Sub Division Thanamandi.
The Sub Divisional Magistrate Thanamandi further informed that the demolition drive will continue to clear the complete stretch of Rajouri-Thanamandi road.
He also appealed to people to extend cooperation to the administration so that the project can be completed within stipulated time.
The public of the area also welcomed the drive by the administration as it shall lead to early completion of the road project.
