Kupwara: On the directions of Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir, the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kupwara Thursday visited KheerBhawani Temple Tikker and took stock of the arrangements for celebration of annual KheerBhawaniMela.
On the occasion, the ADC directed the concerned departments to ensure foolproof arrangements for uninterrupted power and drinking water supplies, transport, security, ration, medical facilities, sanitation in and around the temple and other arrangements.
The officers of Municipal Committee Kupwara were directed to ensure proper sanitation within as well as approaching road stretch to the temple at Tikker Kupwara.
The ADC further directed the officers to ensure that all requisite arrangements are put in place in advance for devotees visiting to pay obeisance and to work in close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the Mela.
The ADC was accompanied by the concerned officers.
