Police facilitate PCPG meeting in Sopore

Sopore : As a part of Public outreach programme, Police in Sopore facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Police Post Watergam.
According to a police statement, the meeting was chaired by SHO Police Station Dangiwacha Inspector Sajad Ahmad besides Incharge Police Post Watergam and other officers were also present. The meeting was attended by Traders, Transporters, Market Association members of Watergam and its adjacent areas.
During the meeting, several issues of public importance were discussed. The chairing officers assured for time-bound redressal of grievances pertaining to Police. He also sought cooperation of people in eradicating the social evils prevailing in the society particularly menace of drugs.
The participants in the meeting assured their full co-operation to Police in tackling social evils and also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
