Mega Block Diwas held at Kulgam

DC presides over grievance redressal camp at Kulgam, redresses issues of immediate nature on spot

Kulgam: The District Administration Kulgam Wednesday organized Mega Block Diwas in three blocks of the district viz. Devsar, Kulgam and D. H. Pora to take appraisal of the public issues, grievances and demands.
On the occasion, Officers and officials from line departments listened to issues, grievances and demands of the public at all the three venues for their timely redressal.
Meanwhile, to take first hand appraisal of public grievances and demands, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr.BilalMohi-Ud-Din Bhat remained available at Kulgam where he listened to grievances and issues of people for redressal.
PRI members and officers from District administration were also present during this block Diwas.
People from Demidulla, PalnooBehibagh, Yaripora, Qaimoo, Chawalgam, Nillow,Aadpora, Pombay and other areas participated in this grievance redressal camp and apprised the DC about their issues and grievances.
A delegation from Ashthal village demanded inclusion of Village in Kulgam revenue jurisdiction which presently pertains to Revenue jurisdiction of Pahaloo.
People from Banimulla and adjacent areas demanded regular water supply for orchards and Irrigation fields through the Banimulla Irrigation canal. A delegation from Demidulla demanded proper development of the road.
Several other delegations from various other areas, civil society members also participated in the grievance redressal camp and raised various issues of public importance.
The DC after giving patient hearing addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on spot and issues required to be redressed at higher level, were also noted.
Meanwhile grievances redressal camps were also organised at Block D.H.Pora and block Devas where ADDC and SDM listened to issues and grievances of people.
