Live interaction Prog of PM Modi witnesses large scale response at Kupwara

Kupwara : On the occasion of Prime Minister, NarendraModi’s live interaction with beneficiaries of different public welfare schemes from ‘GareebKalyanSammelan’ in Shimla, the District Administration Kupwara Tuesday organized a mega event in the lawns of D.C.Office Complex Kupwara to witness the live interaction from here.
Vice Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Kupwara, Haji Farooq Ahmad Mir; Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir; DDC Members; BDC Chairpersons, District Officers, PRIs, beneficiaries of various centrally sponsored welfare schemes, Anganwadi/ASHA workers, field functionaries and a large number of people participated in the live interaction programme.
The participants also viewed the programme of Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha who was live from SKICC Srinagar. The participants also viewed films on various beneficiary schemes in different languages.

Later, after the conclusion of the live programme the elected public representatives including Vice Chairman DDC, DDC Members addressed the gathering and projected demands of their respective areas.
The Deputy Commissioner in his address said that district administration is committed to provide the best services to the people of the district. He said District Administration and the elected public representatives are the two tiers which need to work in tandem for the greater development and prosperity of the district.
He said in his earlier tenure people of the district has given support to the administration which resulted in better development with regard to communication and infrastructure building and hoped in the present tenure, he will utilize his time to the best satisfaction for the welfare of the people of the district.
Khalid Jahangir said development is the unending process which changes with every passing day as per the new requirements. So there is always a need to prioritize the work as per the requirements.
He said this year’s priority point is regulation and preservation of water bodies in every nook and corner of the district. He urged upon the PRIs to provide their support for the purpose as the Government is committed to ensure proper conservation of water bodies.
The DC stressed the need for focusing on 100 days guaranteed employment and directed for choosing 4 panchayats in every block. He also asked the PRIs to participate in the mass awareness programme, the schedule of which is being circulated within a short time. He said during this awareness programme, 40 different schemes identified by the Government including PMAY, KCC, Ayushman Bharat shall be focused and saturated.
