DDC Doda reviews performance of Banks, line deptt’s at DLRC meet

DM Seeks maximum coverage under Social Security schemes, renewable energy sector

Doda : District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vikas Sharma Tuesday chaired a meeting of DLRC here in the Conference Hall of DC office complex to review the performance of the Banks for the quarter ending March 2022 and also achievements ending May, 2022. He also took appraisal of the achievements under the social and priority sector.
During the meeting, the DDC enquired about the progress under priority sectors achieved by different bank branches with special focus on Agriculture, MSME, Renewable energy sector, besides reviewed the performance under the social security schemes including PMJSY, PMJJY, APY etc.
Further, the achievements under government-sponsored schemes were also discussed in detail.
The DDC constituted a Committee comprising GM DIC, AD Employment and AD Handicrafts to devise a strategy and monitor the performanceof the bank branches regarding the loan disbursement against the sponsored cases Panchayat wise. “Thisway low performing branches will be held accountable with regard to the disbursement against different cases sponsored under different schemes” he said.
Besides, the DDC also decided to hold fortnightly review of progress on employment generation and social security sector schemes.
The DDC also directed the Banks to reconcilethe figures of KCC and PM-Kissan with the nodal department to ensure that all the PM-Kissan beneficiaries are the active account holders of KCC. He directed BDOs and other line departments to ensure cent per cent coverage of beneficiaries under social security and individual benefit schemes like APY, PMJSY, PMJJY. “Your monthly performance will be accordingly assessed” the BDOs were told. The Banks were also asked to increase primary sector lending and maintain CD ratio as per norms.
Further, while reviewing progress under Renewable energy sector, the DDC directed the planning section to call the representatives of the JKEDA so that their progress till date shall be reviewed in detail in the upcoming days.
The meeting was attended by GM DIC, CPO Doda, DIO Doda, LBM, District Manager NABARD, CAO, CHO, AD Handloom, AD Employment, DSHO, and representatives of various line departments and bank branches.
