K’gam : The SKIMS Medical College Hospital Bemina Srinagar in collaboration with WZ-BJ Charitable Trust and GDC D.H.Pora Saturday organized a sensitization cum screening camp for breast cancer within the campus of Government Degree College D.H.Pora, here. This campwas inaugurated by Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kulgam, Reyaz Ahmad Sofi.
During the programme Department of Community Medicine Bemina through a Powerpoint presentation apprised the participants about the importance of screening and early detection of breast cancer.
A team of specialist doctors from SKIMS, Bemina and Department of Health Services, Jammu & Kashmir represented by senior consultant surgeon were present in this camp.
Camp was attended by a good number of females and girl students from the college.
Principal GDC D.H.Pora, Prof. (Dr.) ShariqueZahida Deva, President WZ-BJ trust and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
During the camp free medicines were also distributed among the people.
