NH-244 widening project : Camp for disbursement of land compensation held at Dharbadan

Kishtwar : To make the process of land acquisition hassle-free and transparent, a special camp for disbursement of land compensation acquired for up-gradation of NH-244 was held here at Dharbadan, the other day.
A team of revenue officers led by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ashok Sharma supervised the exercise of the verification of documents of the landowners at Dharbadan villages acquired for the widening of the package 3 of the National Highway-244.
Assistant Commissioner Revenue Varunjeet Singh Charak; GM NHIDCL Parveen Ahlawat; Tehsildar Kishtwar Pramod Kumar; AO DC office Kishtwar Imran Ahmed Kichloo; revenue field functionaries besides landowners were present on the occasion.
To make the exercise transparent, all the details viz. name of the landowner, quantum of land acquired, amount of compensation assessed were publicly announced.
Besides, the acquisition documents of the landowner/beneficiaries were also verified by the concerned officers.
