Shopian The District Development Commissioner (DDC), Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya Saturday held an important sequel meeting to review the status of targets to be achieved during the current financial year.
At the outset, the DDC called for regular monitoring of all the ongoing developmental works and greater coordination between executing agencies and stressed on evolving clean and responsive administration to work for welfare of common masses.
He also sought a status report about the progress of ongoing development works and directed the officers to ensure strict adherence to quality norms and fixed timelines and stressed for increasing the pace of developmental activities to complete the assigned targets.
The DDC exhorted the officers to work with a positive mindset and dedication in facilitating the common masses by involving them in developmental processes, who, he said, have great expectations with the Government and District Administration and warned against any kind of laxity from the departments.
To ensure punctuality and cent percent attendance in the offices, DDC directed for monitoring of Biometric Attendance System by Sectoral/ District heads and also emphasised upon officers for proper upkeep of movement registers of their respective departments.
The Additional Deputy Commissioner, Mushtaq Ahmad Simnani; Assistant Commissioner, Revenue, Shahbaz Ahmed Bodha; Chief Planning Officer, Khursheed Ahmed Khatana, and Sectoral/ District Officersof the district attended the meeting.
The DDC also reviewed the progress of under-construction works on migrant accommodation and emphasised upon concerned for early completion.
