DC Shopian conducts surprise inspection of BDO Office, Keller

Shopian : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Shopian, Sachin Kumar Vaishya along with Additional Deputy Commissioner, Shopian, Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani Saturday paid a surprise visit to Block Development Office, Keller.
The DC took first hand assessment of the public service delivery mechanism and availability of staff.
While inspecting BDO office, the DC emphasised upon staff to remain punctual in their duties and work in a mission mode for the benefits of common masses.
He also reviewed progress of Rural Development Department’s ongoing work estimation, tendering and execution of DDC, BDC and PRI works in the Block, to be taken during the ensuing financial year.
Later, the DC visited Habdipora- Bijbehara Road and reviewed its progress. It was intimated that the Habdipora- Bijbehara Road is 25 km long which has been taken up for macadamization under CRF. About 2.5 Km of the stretch has already been macadamized and rest is under progress.
The DC directed the Ex. Engineer R&B Department, executing agency for the project to monitor its quality work and increase the pace of the work.
