DC Kupwara reviews arrangements for Mela Kheer Bhawani

Kupwara : The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Khalid Jahangir Saturday convened a meeting to review the arrangements for celebration of annual KheerBhawaniMela at Tikker in Kupwara.
Threadbare discussions were held on health facilities, parking of vehicles, security and sanitation, availability of essential commodities, power and water supply besides other allied arrangements.
The DC directed the concerned departments for making necessary arrangements for uninterrupted power and drinking water supplies, transport, security, ration, medical facilities, sanitation in and around the temple and other arrangements.
The officers of Municipal Committee Kupwara were directed to ensure proper sanitation within as well as approaching road stretch to the temple at Tikker Kupwara.
AD, FCS&CA was directed to ensure all essential commodities including kerosene and LPG are available.
The DC directed the officers to ensure that all requisite arrangements are put in place in advance for devotees visiting to pay obeisance and to work in close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the Mela.
The meeting was attended by ADC Kupwara GhulamNabi Bhat, CMO, ARTO, and Tehsildar Kupwara.AD Food, EO MC, xens and other concerned officers.
