Kishtwar : In compliance to the directions of Commissioner, FDA J&K, a team of Enforcement Officers led by Tariq Ahmad Butt, Assistant Commissioner Food Safety (DFCO) Friday conducted market checking of the Chemist Shops in Kishtwar Townto determine the valid possessions of licenses/registration under Food Safety & Standards Act.
During this special drive, the Enforcement Team checked the Licenses & registrations of more than 20 establishments. Upon cross-checking 4 chemist shops were found not possessing the mandatory documents andbooked them under the relevant Act.
Moreover, 2 samples of Food supplements/ Neutraceuticals were lifted for analysis to ensure availability of Safe, Pure & standard products for the consumers and public in General.
The Chemists were directed to keep the products away from direct Sunlight, to follow regulations about DOP & Expiry date & Best Before date for Consumers Safety. They were further asked to keep proper bills of consignments of purchased products & also provide printed vouchers to the buyers.
