DC Poonch reviews implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission

Poonch : District Development Commissioner Poonch, InderJeet Friday chaired a meeting to review the time-bound implementation of JalJeevan Mission (JJM) the centrally sponsored programme aimed at providing tap water to every household.
A threadbare discussion was held in connection with the implementation of the Mission, including status of tendering and coverage action plan for providing water facility to uncovered Households in the district and several other issues of Public importance.
The SE Hydraulic informed the chair about the progress achieved so far and the future work plan.
He asked the SE Hydraulic to constitute a committee for the inspection of JJM works in the district
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the functioning of the water testing Laboratories established in the district and asked for regular lifting of water samples from all the villages/schemesas per water quality monitoring protocol.
The SE hydraulic was asked to float tender for JJM schemes as early as possible.
The meeting was attended by SE Hydraulic, Jasvinderpal Singh, CMO, DrShamim Bhatti, CEO Education, Abdul Majid, Xen PHE, Rajesh Sethi, District Social welfare Officer, Mohinder Paul,
Range Officer, Javid Iqbal, Technical Officer (Hydraulic Circle), Abdul Gafoor and other concerned officers.
