DC B’pora reviews progress of works under BADP

B’pora : The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Bandipora, Dr.Owais Ahmed Friday reviewed the status of works under Border Area Development Plan (BADP) in a meeting held at Mini Secretariat, here.
The meeting discussed threadbare various matters related to physical and financial progress of BADP works.
The DDC reviewed the status of all on-going works in subdivisionGurez one by one and received feedback from the officers.
The meeting was informed that the district had 37 works under BADP out of which 31 are on OMS portal and 06 were completed in the last financial year. It was given out that 25 works under BADP are going on against an estimated demand of 12.56 crores.
The chair was further informed that 100 percent progress has been achieved for electrification of Village Badugam by way of Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 250 KVA DG set at BudugamTulail at an estimated cost of 26 lakhs.
Dr.Owais directed concerned officers to ensure completion of all on-going works under Border Area Development Plan (BADP) within stipulated time frame.
He said there will be no deficiency of funds under BADP and all required funds, as projected, shall become available to the concerned departments. He directed the concerned to complete all works before the set timeline keeping in view the short working season of Gurez.
He also directed executing agencies to submit the status of ongoing works on a regular basis.
He said that the deadline of September for completion of all on-going BADP works is a Government decision, which should be implemented in letter and spirit.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Imtiyaz Ahmad besides other senior officers of the district.
SE R&B, SE Hydraulic, SDM Gurez and Exen R&B Gurez also attended the meeting via virtual mode.
