ADC Bla chairs Revenue officers meet

B’la : The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Baramulla, Zahoor Ahmad Raina Friday chaired a meeting of concerned revenue officers at meeting Hall here to take stock of various revenue matters besides taking a brief appraisal of related aspects.
On the occasion, the ADC asked the officers to play a proactive role in the field in resolving public grievances. He directed them to remain punctual in their offices and duty places to serve the public and make the public service delivery system more vibrant.
During the meeting, Raina impressed upon the Revenue Officers to work with dedication and zeal for delivering public services in a smooth and transparent manner. He stressed upon the concerned authorities to ensure the completion of Jamabandi, Girdawari and directed to remove all types of encroachments from State /Kahcharai lands.
The ADC asked the officers to keep close vigil of the Government land and encroachments adding that it is the responsibility of the Revenue department to safeguard the state land from encroachments.
He stressed the need for the updation of jamabandis and asked officers to submit updated statements. He asked officers to regulate the presence of field functionaries including Patwaris in their respective jurisdictions.
The ADC also directed Revenue Officers to be serious inland conversion and adopt uniform standards and parameters so that any person could not misuse the agricultural land in relaxation to land conversion law.
