Arrangements for Kheer Bhawani Mela reviewed at Kulgam

K’gam : The Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Showkat Ahmad Rather Thursday convened a meeting to review the arrangements for celebration of annual KheerBhawaniMela at Devsar and Manzgam.
Threadbare discussions were held on health facilities, parking of vehicles, security and sanitation, availability of essential commodities, power and water supply besides other allied arrangements.
The ADC directed the concerned departments for making necessary arrangements for uninterrupted power and drinking water supplies, transport, security, ration, medical facilities, sanitation in and around the temple and other arrangements.
The Municipal Committee Devsar and Kulgam were directed to ensure proper sanitation within as well as approaching road stretch to the temples at both places Devsar and Manzgam.
AD, FCS&CA were directed to ensure all essential commodities including kerosene and LPG are available.
The ADC directed the officers to ensure that all requisite arrangements are put in place in advance for devotees visiting to pay obeisance and to work in close coordination to ensure smooth conduct of the Mela.
The meeting was attended by SDM Noorabad, DSP-HQ, Tehsildar-HQ, TehsildarD.H.Pora, Devsar, AD, FCS&CA and other officials.
