Anantnag : As part of capacity building of Revenue offices for effective disbursal of digitized revenue services, the Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Anantnag, Chowdhary Mohd YousufGorsi and Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr PiyushSingla Wednesday distributed computers and allied equipment among various Nayabats of Anantnag.
Equipment including state of the art computers, printers, solar-powered inverters, gensets, etc was distributed among the Tehsildars for installation in Tehsil and Nayabat offices of the district.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Chairman said that several revenue services are available online and the common man can access these services from the comfort of their homes. He said that digitization of services has made service delivery effective, time-bound and transparent.
The Deputy Commissioner said that equipping revenue offices is essential to ensure that revenue service delivery is hassle-free. He said that infrastructure up-gradation of all Tehsil and Nayabat offices in the district has been completed and he is hopeful that the officials will make best use of this equipment.
Speaking about digitization of revenue services, the Deputy Commissioner said that such initiatives are the future of service delivery and inculcate robustness, transparency and accountability is inculcated in public government interaction.
He exhorted the officials to ensure that every effort is made for facilitating the common man in accessing the services online. He said that digitization will enable fixing responsibility for unnecessary delay in services and will be a game changer for the revenue landscape in J&K.
The event was attended by DDC Member Dachnipora, BDC Chairpersons, CPO, ACP, ACR, ACD, and Tehsildars among others.
