K’gam : As a part of Public outreach programme, Police in Kulgam have facilitated a Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting at Police Station Qazigund.
According to a police statement the PCPG meeting was organised on the directions of SSP Kulgam and was chaired by ASP NHW Qazigund, Kulgam at Police Station Qazigund in view of upcoming annual ámarnath yatra. The meeting was attended by respectable citizens including traders, Transporters, market association members of Qazigund and its adjacent areas.
During the meeting, various issues of public importance especially the issues related to upcoming annual amaranth yatra were discussed. The chairing officer assured the participants that their genuine issues pertaining to Police will be resolved on priority and the issues pertaining to civil administration will be taken up with the concerned departments for their early redressal. At the onset of the meeting, the chairing officer discussed security measures/arrangements to be put in place for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra and emphasised for better coordination & synergy for peaceful Yatra.
The participants in the meeting assured their full cooperation with Police in making amaranth yatra successful. The participants also appreciated the efforts of Police in facilitating community interaction meets where participants express their opinions freely.
