Theft case solved in Handwara, 2 accused arrested: Police

Handwara: Police on Monday said that it has solved a theft case by arresting 02 accused persons involved in the commission of crime in Handwara and also recovered stolen property from their possession.
In a statement issued on Monday Police said Police Station Vilgam on 22nd May received a written complaint from Khurshid Ahmad Mir of Dolipora,Stating therein further that motorcycle of the complainant bearing registration number PB02BL-9018 has been stolen by unknown thieves from his residential house.
Police in its statement further said that a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Vilgam and investigation was initiated.
Stating further that during the course of investigation, many suspects were called for questioning and after strenuous efforts investigating team zeroed in on two suspects namely Adil Ahmad Sheik son of AbGani sheik resident of Punzwa and Nazir Ahmad Khan son of Bashir Ahmed Khan resident of Dingree Vilgam.
Police further said that during questioning, officers learnt about their involvement in the commission of crime and on their disclosure the stolen motorcycle along with other motorcycle bearing registration number JK05C-9203 have been recovered from the possession of the accused both of whom have been arrested in the instant case and further investigation of the case is going on to ascertain their involvement in other cases.
In the concluding para of its above-quoted statement police resolved to act tough against individuals involved in criminal activities.
