Srinagar: A newly-wed policeman was crushed to death by an oil tanker in a road accident four days after his wedding at Shadipora area of Sumbal in north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Monday.
Officials said that the road accident took place on Bandipora-Srinagar highway after the policeman was hit by an unknown Oil Tanker, leaving him critically wounded.
“The injured was shifted to SKIMS Srinagar for treatment where he succumbed to his injuries,” they said while identifying him as Farhad Ali, son of Ghulam Haider Wani of Shadipora. Ali was stationed at District police line in Bandipora.
Meanwhile, a police official said that a case under relevant sections of law has been registered and further investigation on going on
