Hakeem tributes Molvi Farooq , Ab Gani Lone on their death anniversaries

Says ‘prevailing conflict , violence consumes precious human lives unabated’

Srinagar : Chairman Jammu & Kashmir People’s Democratic Front (J&K PDF) and former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has paid glowing tributes to Late Molvi Mohammad Farooq and Late Ab Gani Lone on thier death anniversary.
In a statement issued on Saturday , Hakeem while paying tributes to late Molvi Mohammad Farooq and Late Ab Gani Lone , has lauded thier contribution in socio – political awakening of the people of Jammu and Kashmir . He said both the leaders have played a significant role in transformation of the society adding that both the towering personalities were liked and followed by the general masses . “Their contribution would act as torchbearer in shaping the future socio-political landscape of Jammu and Kashmir, Hakeem maintained adding that their selfless service and struggle for mitigation the hardships and problems of the people especially downtrodden sections of the society , forms a golden chapter in the the socio-political history of Jammu and Kashmir .
. While extending his sympathies with the bereaved families of both the leaders , Hakeem prayed for eternal peace to the departed souls. PDF Chairman said demise of socio – religious leader. Late Molvi Mohammad Farooq and political leader late Ab Gani Lone has created a a wide void in the socio political annals of Jammu and Kashmir which was very difficult to be filled in near future . He said their “martyrdom” , which has left a deep wound on the psyche of people , would be remembered for long .

Hakeem also prayed for return of lasting peace in strife torn Jammu and Kashmir adding that prevailing conflict and cycle of violence has consumed precious human lives including religious leaders, prominent journalists , social activists and political leaders adding that the bloodshed of innocents continues unabated.
ACB arrests Patwari from Budgam for demanding bribe
Srinagar : Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday said that it trapped and arrested a Patwari from Halqa Wahabpora, Budgam for demanding bribe of Rs one lakh and sixty five thousand from complainant for issuance of revenue extracts (fard for sale of Property).
In a statement issued on Saturday the J&K Anti Corruption Bureau (J&K ACB) said that it received a complaint against Bashir Ahmad Dar, son of Ghulam Muhammad Dar of Saidpora ,Berwa, District Budgam posted as Patwari, Halqa, Wahabpora, Budgam regarding accepting bribe from complainant of Rs 1,65,000 for issuance of revenue extracts to the complainant etc.
“The complainant alleged that he want to sell 15 marlas of land situated at Wahabpora, Budgam for which he was in need of revenue extracts for which he approached Patwari concerned who in turn demanded huge bribe from him for issuance of the documents and compelled him to pay Rs one lakh in advance and demanded Rs 65,000 more for the same. In these circumstances the complainant approached ACB for taking legal action against Patwari, Bashir Ahmad Dar.”
“As the contents of the complaint prima facie disclose commission of offence as defined under section 7 of the PC Act 1988 accordingly a case FIR number 19/2022 was registered at PS ACB Srinagar and investigations were started,” the statement said.
It said that immediately after registration of the case, a trap team was constituted. “The team trapped Patwari Bashir Ahmad Dar red handed while demanding and accepting bribe from the complainant at Berwa Budgam.”
The statement further said that the accused Patwari was immediately arrested on the spot”, adding that “ Searches were also conducted in the office and residence of the accused”, stating therein further that further investigations in case is going on
